Registration Fees

Registration fees cover the cost of enrollment, administration, textbooks, Department of Education Fees, Catholic Telemedia Network fees, standardized testing, yard duty, child health insurance costs, room parent expenses and health office expenses.

Technology Fees

Technology Fees cover the costs of ongoing maintenance of student laptops, network and internet access upgrades, professional development in technology for teachers, website upgrades, and to maintain professional IT staff to ensure effectiveness of the school's technology infrastructure.

Eighth Grade Fees

Eighth grade fees cover the costs of graduation and most of the costs of the graduation party.

Other Fees

Other miscellaneous school fees, including:  fees for supplemental books, field trips, yearbooks, clubs, lunch and extended care are billed via Smart Tuition when they are used.

Tuition Payment Schedule and Billing Payment Options

Payment Schedule

Tuition payments are payable annually (August), semi-annually (August and January), or in ten monthly payments (August through May). Payments are considered delinquent after the 10th of each month for the selected payment plan.

Tuition Billing

Saint Simon Parish School utilizes Smart Tuition for the processing and collection of our families' tuition and fees for all grades, Preschool - 8th grade.  By utilizing a tuition management system we are able to better serve our families, while improving the school's cash flow system.  In addition to tuition, Smart Tuition is utilized for billing all fees, such as: registration, extended care, field trips, sports, and extracurricular activities. 

New Family Smart Tuition Registration

Smart Tuition Online Registration (enter St. Simon's School code 11324).  All new families must complete the on-line registration with Smart Tuition.  Families will not be considered enrolled until this on-line registration is completed.  Families have the option for automatic, credit card, or mail in payments.  The choice of payment options is made at the time the online registration with Smart Tuition is completed.

Financial Assistance

St. Simon Catholic Parish, the Diocese of San Jose, and The BASIC Fund have dollars available which are awarded based on demonstrated need. 

The PSAS form is used to assist in determining financial aid awards from both Diocesan and Parish funds.  PSAS does not provide financial aid.  PSAS is Diocesan-approved third-party provider that performs an analysis of a family's respective aid need.  Forms must be completed and submitted within the deadline to be considered for financial aid.

To apply for funds from the Diocese of San Jose or Saint Simon Parish for the upcoming school year:

  • Complete the 2015-2016 PSAS form.   Forms must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2015.  You must download this PDF and save it to your computer before filling it out electronically.  To properly complete the form electronically and ensure the information is recorded correctly, you must open it within Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.  Do not  “view” the PDF and attempt to complete it in your browser.  This will result in an unusable PDF and/or improperly recorded information.  You can also print out a hard copy and complete the form by hand.

The Basic Fund is a separate entity that provides need-based scholarships to Catholic school students. All families applying for financial aid are strongly encouraged to apply to the Basic Fund as well as following the PSAS submission process.
