St. Simon Extracurricular Activities
The Winter session for St. Simon Extracurricular Activities will begin the week of January 19th. We will be offering:
• Art: Draw, Paint, and Sculpt (grades 2-4)
• Art: Fiber Arts (grades 5-8)
• Chess (grades K-8)
• Computer Explorers: Green Screen and Photo Fun (grades 3-5)
• Computer Explorers: St. Simon Broadcast News (grades 6-8)
• Girl Talk (grades 6-8, new girls are welcome)
• Saints for Justice (grades 5-8, new students are welcome)

St. Simon Stadium Seats Available For Sale
What better way to sit and watch a St. Simon Basketball Game in the very comfort of a St. Simon Stadium Seat. Seats are on display in the school lobby. Come check them out!
Seats are on sale in the school office for $25. Make checks payable to St. Simon.
Registration for the 2009-2010 School Year
Registration for the 2009-10 school year for current St. Simon School families will take place during the month of January. All in-coming Kindergarteners as well as continuing students must register by the end of January to secure a place for next year. Open enrollment for new families will begin on February 9, 2009.
Financial Aid
If you are currently receiving Financial Aid or are interested in receiving Financial Aid for the 2009-10 school year, please contact Mr. Clossick directly to obtain a Financial Aid Application. All families interested in receiving Financial Aid next year, even if you already are receiving Financial Aid, must submit a new Financial Aid Application for the 2009-10 year.
Grandparent’s / Special Person Day
On Tuesday, January 27, Grandparent’s / Special Person’s day will take place at St. Simon. More information will come out in next week’s Weekly.

To schedule an appointment for your portrait, a sign up table will be outside the main doors of the church after each mass the weekends of January 4th and January 11th.

Each family that participates, receives a free 8 X 10 portrait and a free Parish Directory!

Additional sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, decals, and hats are available in Mrs. Allen's office. If you need to exchange for another size or a size is not in stock, orders can also be placed with Mrs. Allen.
5th Annual Father Murray Basketball Tournament
It's that time again for our annual Father Murray Memorial Basketball Tournament on January 22-25. Fr. Murray, who lived at St. Simon for twelve years, made it his mission to watch and support every student participating in basketball at our school. What better way to celebrate Father Tom Murray than to hold an annual basketball tournament in his name? Come out and watch 16 teams from all
over the area compete. This is a great family event. Make sure to save your appetite for all the delicious food the snack bar, courtesy of gourmet chef, Howard Fish. Admission is $5 for Adults and $3 for student and seniors. Children 4 and under are free. Our very own St. Simon Saints will play on Thursday, January 22 for the girls at 6:30 pm and 7:45 pm for the boys Varsity 2 team and Friday, January 23 at 7:45 pm for the boys Varsity 1 team. St. Simon Cold-Wear Clothing Drive
St. Simon School is hosting a cold-wear clothing drive. Check your closets and dresser drawers for old - gently used (please no holes) coats, sweaters, sweats, gloves/ mittens, hats, scarves, blankets, and umbrellas. We’ll take them! We will collect clothing from Monday, January 12th – Friday, January 16th
