ITBS Testing Next Week
The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) will be administered to all students in Grades 2-8 next week. This standardized testing lets us know each student’s strengths and areas of improvement. Parents, you can help your child do his/her best on these important tests by making sure your child has a good night’s sleep, and eats a healthy breakfast each morning. We ask that you strive for perfect attendance each day. Encourage your child to do his/her best, without becoming stressed over the testing. Test results will be given to each parent during Parent-Teacher Conference Week, November 2-6, 2009.

Diocesan Education Appeal
The Diocese of San Jose will be holding its Annual Education Appeal on September 12-13. This collection provides financial assistance to many of our Catholic students who want to receive a Catholic education. Over 17,000 students are educated in the thirty elementary schools and six high schools in the Diocese, and many are there because of the generosity and support of our parish community. Please plan on giving generously – this is an investment in the future of young lives as well as the future of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of San Jose. Thank you!
