FIVE IMPORTANT THINGS FOR YOU TO KNOW:
1.  The main parking lot (basketball hoops) will be closed starting at 3:20pm on Friday!
Please plan accordingly as the volunteers ONLY have an hour and half to get all the tables/chairs set up for the event that starts at 5pm! I know, call us crazy.  However, if you can give us 15 minutes of your time (after you move your car) to help with some tables & chairs, IT WILL BE SO APPRECIATED!!!!  Please, Please,
stick around and help out!

2.  Plan to bring a jacket as ALL activities and the FABULOUS dinner from Allotas Restuarant will be served outside!  (Sorry, no outside heating)

3.   Plan to bring extra cash for the following treats:
*  $2.00 Beverage tickets can be purchased to enjoy the fresh cool beer (wheat or amber) from St. Stan's Brewery Company from Susan and Jim Nell!   What GREAT new parishioners to have at our parish! (smile)
*  Dessert will be served as promised, HOWEVER, to support our local businesses and parishioners, "Laly Protzel and family",,, we will be selling
"Rumba By The Scoop"!  You can buy this all natural YUMMY sorbet for $2.50 a scoop from 7- 8pm at the BBQ!

4.  Just ONE more day to RSVP to the Fall BBQ: online at stsimon.org/bbq.html <http://stsimon.org/bbq.html>   OR drop off form in parish office!  (We want to make sure we have enough food ; )

5.  Timing of the event:
5-6:00pm: Appetizers/Check in
6:00pm:   Blessing from Father and dinner is served!
7:15pm:   Dessert is served
8:00pm:   Hit the Road (well, after you put your chair away ~smile, thanks!)

We thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!

Rummage Sale News
Dear St. Simon School Families,

Next week is one of our big Parish events, the St. Simon Parish Rummage Sale.  This event not only benefits St. Simon Parish, but also many local agencies serving our neighbors in need.

We are looking for volunteers to make this event successful – whether you have an hour to give or can help for a day, we need you!  Please think about sharing some of your time and talent any or all of the following days:

Sunday, September 20, 1 to 4pm. This is move-in day.  Families are welcome – children love bringing their wagons and helping to move everything into the Parish Center.

Monday through Wednesday Sept. 21-23, 7:30am to 9pm.  The Big Sort.  60 people needed daily to sort through the donations, hang, fold and price items to get ready for the big sale.

Thursday, Sept. 24, 7:30am to 5pm. Presale for volunteers and St. Simon School children.  60 people needed to help with the sale (and to have enough coverage for people to take breaks)

Friday, Sept. 25, 9am to 5pm.  Rummage Sale Day 1. 60 people needed to help with the sale (and have to enough coverage for people to take breaks).

Saturday, Sept. 26, 8am to 2pm. Rummage Sale Day 2. 60 people needed to help with the sale (and to have enough coverage for people to take breaks).

Saturday, Sept. 26, 2pm to 6pm.  *New* help needed to pack up leftovers for donation, and clear out the Parish Center by 6pm.  If you can’t help during the week, consider helping out Saturday afternoon for this big job.

If you cannot spare any time, donations of breakfast, lunch or snack food are always welcome to feed the dozens of people who will be hard at work all week.

Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions please email Pattie Sharrow at besharrow@juno.com  or call 650-965-4399.
