Join us to “Read Around the World” this school year!
Scholastic Book Fair comes to our school Sunday, November 1st through Thursday, November 5th to share exciting books and learning products with our student readers. Parents and teachers will find plenty to interest them too! The fair will be open on Sunday from 10:00am to 12:00pm and on school days from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Proceeds from the Book Fair support our school library.Thank you to all those who have volunteered to help at the Book Fair.

eScrip Contest
Electronic Scrip (eScrip) is a way to donate to Saint Simon when you make a purchase from participating vendors at www.escrip.com <http://www.escrip.com/> using your credit, debit, merchant or grocery card.
Our goal is 100% school participation in the eScrip program. Enroll in the eScrip program in the next three weeks (October 19 to November 6), and help your child's class win free dress the following week. Saint Simon's eScrip id is #137106957.

Mountain View - Los Altos Girls Softball League: Registration for Spring
Registration for the Spring 2010 season of the Mountain View - Los Altos Girls Softball League opens November 2nd and runs through December 18th. MVLA Girls Softball is a recreational league committed to giving girls the opportunity to explore and enjoy the game of softball. New players (and coaches!) are welcome – no experience necessary. All girls age 5 – 16 living in or attending school in Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Sunnyvale are encouraged to come and play. The season runs from mid-March through May. MVLA Monsoon Spring U10G Soccer Tryouts (girls born on or after August 1, 1999)
The MVLA Monsoon, a competitive girls soccer program, is holding tryouts for the Spring U10 season over 3 afternoons in November. Players should plan to attend as many of these sessions as possible:
- Tue 17 Nov from 4-5:15pm at Monta Loma Park, 400 Thompson Ave. in Mountain View
- Wed 18 Nov from 4-5:15pm at Egan Intermediate, 100 W Portola Ave. in Los Altos
- Thu 19 Nov from 4-5:15pm at Monta Loma Park, 400 Thompson Ave. in Mountain View

Financial Aid
If you are currently receiving Financial Aid or are interested in receiving Financial Aid for the 2010-11 school year, please contact Mr. Clossick directly to obtain a Financial Aid Application. All families interested in receiving Financial Aid next year, even if you already are receiving Financial Aid, must submit a new Financial Aid Application for the 2010-11 year.
The deadline for PSAS to receive Financial Aid Packets is February 1, 2010.
