Lice Inspection
St. Simon has hired an independent Lice Company to come in and check each student.  This will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week.  If a student has any nits or lice, the only way that they will be able to return to school is if they have a clean bill of health from a doctor or a lice therapy salon.  The company Lice Patrol will provide a brief presentation about lice, treatment, and preventative measures on Thursday at 3:30pm in the school library.

St. Simon Parish will help 230+ families for Christmas.
Students in grades K-4 are asked to bring in a box of cake mix and a box of cereal. Students in grades 5-8 are asked to bring in a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jam.  Please bring in these items during the week of November 16th.  Thank you for helping these families in need.

4th Grade Classroom Clips
The 4th graders just returned from their big field trip to Coloma, and they had a great time.  They spent 3 days and 2 nights in Gold Country.  The students started the trip by giving themselves an authentic California history name and being divided into mining towns.  Within these towns, they learned about early California history including Native Americans, early settlers, and the Gold Rush.  They made cornbread over an open fire, washed clothes with water from the American River, heard legends from a Native American storyteller, and sang songs.  They also went on a 3-mile hike where they learned about nature and visited many of the monuments around Sutter's Mill and the American River.  They finished their trip by developing action plans to help save the environment at home and school.  It was a great experience that brought history alive!
