Join the faculty and staff for refreshments while taking the opportunity to preview your child's accomplishments this Sunday from 10:00am- 1:00pm. View your child's most recent art projects and various writing samples while the teachers are on-hand to answer any questions. Help us show prospective families what a remarkable community we have at St. Simon!

Parish Survey
Our newly formed Outreach and Social Justice Council has developed a parish-wide survey and we ask that you please complete this survey on-line before February 20. The link for the survey is: http://OutreachandJustice2010.surveyconsole.com <http://outreachandjustice2010.surveyconsole.com/>
Our Outreach and Social Justice Council has been formed as a result of all the input and interest expressed by parishioners during the first year of our 5 year planning. St. Simon has a very strong tradition of ministry for outreach and social justice. Building on this tradition the Council has developed a parish-wide survey to help identify any existing unmet needs in the parish, gather your ideas, and find out how people would like to get involved.
Your voice is essential to the future of our ministries which provide care and support to parishioners, outreach to the greater community, and action around issues of social justice. This survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. Please try and do it today! All members of a household are encouraged to complete the survey. Deadline is February 20. Tell those who do not have internet access the survey is also available in paper form. We are handing out at all the Masses on the weekend of January 30, or a copy can be obtained from the rectory office.

In-Parish and Out of Parish Tuition
In the next two weeks the Parish Finance Council will conduct a review of all St. Simon Parish School families to see if they are categorized correctly as In-Parish or Out of Parish Families. Please see attached PDF for guidelines regarding St. Simon's In-Parish Policy.
Generations Day Reminder
St. Simon Parish invites grandparents and special people to celebrate Generations Day with a luncheon Wednesday February 3, 2010. Please see attached flyer for more information.

St. Simon Pre-K
Little Saints Preschool has open enrollment for the year 2010 – 2011. We are now offering extended care for before and after pre school hours. The extended care hours will occur from 7:00am – 8:00am and 11:15am - 3:00pm. Science Fair
The 2010 St. Simon School Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, January 27th from 8:30-3:30 and Thursday, January 28th from 8:00-12:00.

Come Join the Walk-a-thon Committee
It is time to start planning our annual St. Simon Surf the Turf Walk-a-thon, benefitting the PAG Teacher Fund. Please consider joining our fun and fearless committee this year (new parents, working parents, all are welcome!). We need your time and talent to ensure this event's success. REMINDER!! The first deadline for the yearbook is quickly approaching (2/1/2010).
Here is how you can submit photos online:

• If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter user id is 400004705 and password: saints
• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
• Click "Save Details".
It's that easy! Submit your photos today! We will also accept photos via email or cd.
The last day to submit photos for the second deadline is 3/15/10.

This is a VERY popular event! Please plan to attend! With your participation in this event you are supporting our St. Simon Parish Youth Group and our St. Simon 8th grade trip to Washington D.C.
PLG Sundae on Tuesday
Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, February 16, when Mardi Gras comes to St. Simon in the form of Sundae on Tuesday. Families are invited to make their own sundaes, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and there will be entertainment from 7:00-7:45pm. Helpers are needed! Safety Reminder
Several cars have been burglarized the past two weekends during Mass. Please make sure all valuables are taken out of your cars. If you have to leave something in the car please remove it from public view and / or place it in your trunk. Auto burglaries have occurred at various churches, schools, and parking lots during the past few weeks in and around Los Altos.
