Non-Discriminatory Policy
Schools in the Diocese of San Jose, California, mindful of their mission to be witnesses to the love of Christ for all, admit students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools. The Catholic Schools in the Diocese of San Jose, California do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and/or ethnic origin, age, sex or disability in administration of educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Admission Requirements
No applicant will be admitted to St. Simon Parish School without a completed Application Packet including the $50 non-refundable application fee and all required forms and documents. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be date stamped upon receipt and will be considered on a first come, first served basis. In addition, admission to St. Simon Parish School is conditioned upon the outcome of a testing/observation session conducted by a St. Simon Parish School administrator or faculty member. Screening sessions for the 2012-2013 school year will take place in February, 2012. Screening sessions for applications received after the February screening dates will be scheduled upon receipt of a completed Application Packet.
*Incoming Kindergarteners must turn 5 years old before 11/01 of the school year for which you are applying.
Admission Priority
Priority registration is offered to current St. Simon Parish School students. In addition, priority admission is offered to siblings of current students, subject to the Admission Requirements described above.
In the event the number of applicants for a particular class exceeds the number of spaces available in that class, the order of priority for applicants is as follows:
- St. Simon Parish Family Members
- Out of Parish Catholics
- All Other Applicants
