The 2nd grade Brownies would like your help. This year the girls are collecting pennies to donate to "Pennies for Peace," a nonprofit which raises money to help build schools in the poorest regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pennies for Peace was born out of the bestselling novel Three Cups of Tea and is a way for school age children to make a difference by saving up and donating their pennies. The Brownies are asking all St. Simon children to bring pennies next week to the Wednesday Mass (January 28). Watch for the Brownies who will stand in the foyer and collect the pennies in their special buckets. For questions contact Kelly Walsh (Ghashghai).
