Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in St. Simon Parish School. Before submitting an application, we encourage you to attend an Open House where you will have an opportunity to meet our principal, Steve Clossick, interact with students and parents during guided tours of the school, and observe students and teachers in the classroom. If you are unable to attend an Open House, please consider scheduling a private tour. You may complete an online Tour Request Form, or contact the Admissions and Development Office at (650) 968-9952 x43.

Application Processing

All applications for the 2011-2012 school year should be submitted by February 11th.  Prospective students whose applications are submitted after February 11th will be screened at a later date.

  1. A completed Application Form and $50 non-refundable Application Fee
  2. The following documentation with your completed Application Form:
    • Student Health Information Form
    • Birth Certificate (original, certified copy required; will be returned)
    • Immunization Record (original, certified copy required; will be returned)
    • If Catholic, Baptism Certificate (original, certified copy required; will be returned)
    • For students who have received First Communion and/or Confirmation, verification from the parish where the sacrament was celebrated (original, certified copy required; will be returned)
    • Most recent Report Card (Grades 1-8 only; photocopy acceptable)
    • Most recent Standardized Testing Report (Grades 1-8 only, if available; photocopy acceptable)

Student Screening

Screening sessions for students applying for Kindergarten will take place on February 15,  16, 17, and 23, 2011. An appointment will be scheduled for your child and you will receive notification of the day and time.

Screening sessions for students applying for Grades 1-8 will take place on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 3:15 – 4:30 pm. If your child is unable to attend on this day, or you submit an application after this date, additional screenings are scheduled for March 15,  and April 12 from 3:15-4:30 pm. All other screenings after April will be done on a case by case basis.

Acceptance Notification

Acceptance letters will be mailed on March 1, 2011. In the event the number of applicants for a particular class exceeds the spaces available, your child will be placed on a waiting list and admitted subject to space availability.

Completed Registration

Upon notification of acceptance, a $400.00 non-refundable registration fee and a non-refundable technology fee ($100 K-4; $150 5-8) must be submitted to St. Simon Parish School. A student will not be officially enrolled at St. Simon Parish School until the registration and technology fees are submitted and all required documentation is on file.
