Catholic schools in the Diocese of San Jose, mindful of their mission to be witnesses to the love of Christ for all, admit students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools. The Catholic schools in the Diocese of San Jose do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and/or ethnic origin, age, sex or disability in administration of educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
No applicant will be admitted to St. Simon School without a completed application, and payment of the $50 non-refundable application fee. In addition, all forms and documents must be completed. Applications may be submitted at any time.
In addition, admission to St. Simon Parish School is conditioned upon the outcome of a testing/observation session conducted b a St. Simon Parish School administrator or faculty member. Screening sessions for the 2017-2018 school year will take place in March. Screening sessions for applications received after March screening dates will be scheduled upon receipt of a completed Application, all required forms, and the non-refundable deposit. Note: Incoming kindergartners must turn 5 years old before September 1 of the school year for which they are applying.
Priority registration is offered to current St. Simon Parish School families. In addition, priority admission is offered to siblings of current St. Simon Parish School students, subject to the admission requirements described above. In the event the number of applicants for a particular class exceeds the number of spaces available in that class, the order of priority for applicants is as follows:
- St. Simon Parish family members
- Out of parish Catholics
- All other applicants
