I am so excited about the year.  We are going to get a lot accomplished and make math your favorite period of the day.  You are going to experience math in a way that relates to the real world and in a way that makes math common sense!

Math is not a gene, but a skill honed over time by hard work.

Grading Homework Assignments...

Homework assignments are given every day. To receive full credit (10 points), the following is expected: 

1. Full heading
2. Work completed in pencil
3. Problem is written down
4. All problems completed
5. Showed your work
6. Work turned in on time.(One day late work will be accepted at a lower grade of 7.5 points with "Late Form" attached, after that it is worth zero.)

Work not Shown        -1 point
No Name                     -1 point

You can miss up to 5 problems to receive full credit.

# Wrong   = # Points
0-5            =   10
6               =    9
7               =    8
8               =    7
9               =    6   If trying this is the max # of points off.

Test Corrections...

Students who score below 70% can earn 1/2 point per test correction (required)
Students who score above 70% can earn 1/4 point per test correction (optional)

**Return test and corrections within a week of receiving the test back**
